We facilitate multiple awards, including The Surgical Award, The Surgical Fellowship, and the Innovation in Military Medical Support Award
The principal object of the Award is to promote innovation in the design of surgical instruments and techniques. To this end the Cutlers’ Surgical Award is made annually to a surgeon who has performed outstanding work in the field of instrumentation, or technical development in any branch of surgery. Entries are judged by a representative of the Company in conjunction with the Royal College of Surgeons.
Further information about the Award can be obtained here, with details of previous winners here.
The Cutlers’ Fellowship in Surgery is open to Members and Fellows of The Royal College of Surgeons working in hospitals throughout the UK to undertake a period of time overseas to learn a surgical technique, procedure or treatment which they can then practise on their return to the UK to benefit their patients in the NHS.
